1 + 1 — one chick, one bro
1Chick 1Bro is a sister and her brother: one chick, one bro. They opened the café on 49th St S the last weekend of February 2024, and within days I Love the Burg was writing about the rave reviews.
The cooking is Venezuelan home cooking: fourteen numbered arepas, every one corn-based and gluten-free, plus cachapas, empanadas, bowls, fresh juices and a few spectacular cakes.
The Tampa Bay Times called the place “a tribute to the Venezuelan staple,” and found owner Xiomaira Webster “taking phone orders and doling out piping hot cafe con leches.” The phone is still the best way to order.
Family-connected to 11 Chicks, a separate Venezuelan restaurant in downtown St. Pete.

When we opened, people said…
- “Delicious authentic Venezuelan food, I'm from Venezuela and it reminded me of home!...”
- “The best Venezuelan food I have had in the Tampa Bay Area.. and it's right down the street...”
- “Omg! Insanely good food! It's Fresh and Flavorful...”
